Happy Thanksgiving

Wishing a safe and sound holiday to all my friends and readers across the States.  For those of you around the world not in the loop, this is the day when we American’s get a day off work (usually 2) to be with family and eat turkey and give thanks for random things in our lives.  Like, in this economy, being thankful that we have a job  to be off work from.

Jaci and I certainly can’t complain.  We’re both gainfully employed, our respective families remain healthy, and the predicted rain didn’t come, so we get to go on the roof and clean out the gutters (that’s the “royal we,” meaning me).

Have a good one,

  1. Gregg Miner Says:

Well, so much for our Thanksgiving day showers…a beautiful sunny day in Southern Cal it has turned out to be!
Spent the last couple hours on the roof in my T-shirt…got the rose bushes and trees cut back, all gutters emptied, hosed out to like-new, and re-nailed to the eaves. Ready for next El Nino..
Yes Jaci helped. Off to her sister’s now to gain back the weight I just worked off (and more!).

  2. Michael Schreiner Says:

It was a beautiful day here in sunny Miami,FL. I worked today then had dinner at my sisters. She invited an out of work family and it was nice to share our bounty with them. Our store was not open today but I worked painting the the showroom then clearting it to receive new carpet on Friday and Saturday then we will put everything back together on Sunday so no days off for me. I am very thankful that I have my store and it is still supporting me. You gotta do what you gotta do to get were you wanna get.

Merry Thanksgiving to all and to all a good night.

  3. Steve Farmer Says:

Vickie and I had a great day with the in-laws and my dad. Turkey with all the trimmings! The many things we are thankful for include our friends and family, near and far.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our friends out there; a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

  4. Dan and Bettie Says:

    Hi to our HGG family.

Bets and I are tucked in at the charming Hotel Frederick in historic Boonville, MO for a celebratory weekend of Thnksgiving on our 5th anniversary together. We really understand what it means to be thankful, and hope you all have many reasons to feel likewise.
