The Behee Lyric Harp Guitar

I went and did it again…

Remember how I ended last week’s blog with that crazy Behee Lyric tenor guitar?  I had actually intended to finish up the subject right then and there, but realized I had a few more bits and pieces on the Behee instruments – so decided to follow up with a separate short blog.

Except that, as often happens, my simple investigations lead me into an endless research project.  Though I found very few actual facts about these instruments or the Behees, I still managed to accidentally end up with a 3000-word piece.

So I turned it into a Harp Guitar of the Month feature here.

Which really aggravates me, because this is the second time in a row that I’ve somehow ended up with a feature on a “Harp Guitar in Name Only” (no extra strings).  Correct – we’re not even talking about real harp guitars!

In any event, it’s a fun story, and where else in the world are you going to see the collected information on these weird instruments, let alone the story of Joseph Behee, Boy Wonder Inventor?
