Knutsen Harp Guitar    

This nine-string instrument is pictured in ads Knutsen ran in local newspapers in January and February of 1898, so we can assume it was made prior to that.
It looks like the bass arm extension is similar to the 1898 patent drawing - with a more slender appendage and nut for the three, rather than five, bass strings.
