Readers may recall my 2019 post about my exhaustive 11-1/2-page American Lutherie article published by the Guild of American Luthiers. It covers early Gibson strings in general and covers all Gibson harp guitar scale lengths, tuning variants and stringing options. Frankly, it’s just fun history, to boot!
Well, GAL just announced a sale on some back issues, including that one! GAL members who might have missed it can it for $5, but now, NON-members can also purchase it for just 10 bucks!
Go to Issue #137 (Summer 2019), as I have never posted this on Harpguitars.net!
I just aquired my first harp guitar, a Worland 12 string with a mermaid inlayed in the headpiece. While I am excited to get started playing and becoming active in the harp guitar community, I don’t really know where to start. I purchased strings for the guitar but I’m pretty sure they are not correct. I live in Anaheim and will travel to where ever I need to buy the proper strings. Any contacts willing to see me would be appreciated. Thank you, “Jim” Carey
