Members Only Film Clip and Rare Recordings
Pasquale Taraffo Performing a sample of his composition “Stefania” in New York on December 19th, 1928. |
Zara Prima, with Taraffo "O Sole Mio!" |
In
the early 2000's, a rare University library film was discovered of Pasquale Taraffo performing a sample of his composition “Stefania” in New York on December
19th, 1928. Eventually, both I and Beppe Gambetta separately tracked it
down and licensed some of it for private use. My version for
Harpguitars.net Members was a 60 second clip that I edited together from
Taraffo's four separate performance takes with 3 different views. This
video remains available for sharing with Harpguitars.net members. However,
the entire 4 minute film (Taraffo's 4 short takes) has finally been made
available on YouTube directly from the source - the Moving Image Research
Collections of the University of South Carolina. Click

Franco Ghisalberti has graciously donated the recordings to the members of Harpguitars.net. Harpguitars.net Subscription / Donation information here.
